Total Nonstop Action results from the tapings at Universal Studios in Orlando, FL, on January 26, for the January 29 iMPACT broadcast: the Main Event Mafia took over the announcer’s table, with Kevin Nash and Booker T doing commentary and Scott Steiner doing ring announcing duties, while Kurt Angle took charge in Jeff Jarrett’s office and Sharmell handled backstage interviews – Jim Cornette confronted Angle, telling him he couldn’t just take over the show, to which Angle sais no one would or could stop him; the Kontourage over ODB in a handicap match; Booker T over Rudy Charles & Andrew Thomas in a handicap match, with Shane Sewell attacking Booker post-match, but Booker had no problems handling him; Matt Morgan over Petey Williams, who had one hand tied behind his back; Team 3D over Sting by disqualification in a handicap match, with the MEM getting involved; Mick Foley took back control, returning Mike Tenay, Don West, and David Penzar back to their positions; Abyss over Steiner by disqualification when Steiner used a pipe on Abyss despite Abyss being the only one allowedt o use weapons; and Kurt Angle over the Latin American Xchange in a handicap match.
