King Curtis Iaukea passed away Saturday in his native Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of 73. Iaukea was a major worldwide star during the 60s and 70s. Prior to entering wresting, Iaukea was a football star at the University of California. He was considered one of the best interviews in the business. Iaukea held the AWA United States Heavyweight Championship, NWA's Florida Heavyweight Championship and had a run with the WWWF Tag Team Championships with Baron Mikel Scicluna. Iaukea continued as a manger after retiring from the ring. He managed Kamala and Sika in WWE. His last run on a national stage was during the mid 90s when he headed up the "Dungeon of Doom" in WCW.
