I always liked Stan Vachon (Stan Pulaski, Eric Pomeroy). Butcher brought him in as his little brother in his feud with Enrique and Alberto Torres. Later Ramon Torres was brought in, as was Mad Dog Vachon. I'll never forget Mad Dog screaming on TV's "Live Atlanta Wrestling," "Blood will flow in the streets of Atlanta!" All of this was in the late 60s.
I pastored a church in Columbus, Nebraska 1980-85. During that time the Columbus newspaper ran an article on Stan Pulaski. He was working as a maintenance man at a local nursing home in Stromsburg, Nebraska. I often thought about stopping to visit him since I occasionally drove right by the facility whenever I made a trip to York, but I never did. The newspaper article ran photos from his wrestling career as well as current shots of him posing with residents of the nursing home. I think a car accident had ended his wrestling career. I was just thinking of Stan Vachon.
