We rode down to watch THE GCW show last night! We got very disappointed, I thought the way they talked on here! A #1 show Holding it a "BIG" skate building it would be full of people! The front row wasn't even filled! I'm not bashing noone but very sad we traveled from Carrollton to phinex city and the show was good but your smoke kills the excitement because i love to fuss with the guys and if they can't see us ,we can't see them until they get in the ring, and fussing is what gets the show going! After someone saw us they must have told the rest of the guys we were there because then they started coming our way and the show finally seems it got better! Sorry but we might make it back down but the smoke needs to be cut down some! The show was good !but disappointed the attendance was proably 50 - maybe 100

I'm not a gcw fan myself. I've been more than my share and usually leave disappointed. The guys are very good, for the most part. The storylines just don't make much sense.
I'm a wrestling fan like you, but I don't take myself showing up to shows so serious like you do I guess. Saying the fussing gets the shows going? I have to disagree. Quality of wrestling and storylines gets the shows going. If you go to a show to fuss at the guys for attention or anything like that, then you are going to soley for yourself and not really watching the show. Sounds like you are more worried about who you can yell at rather than being entertained by the wrestling. Then stating the guys must have found out you were there so the started coming aorund to you? Come on, are you really that vain to think the guys really care what certain fan is there or not? They just want people to wrestle in front of.

If I may add my two cents in I would like to say:
First of all, the wrestlers feed off of the fans. I have had wrestlers in the past tell me to fuss with them because it makes their show better and it "gets them over".
Second of all, I am in the business as a ring announcer and if the fans do not react to something I feel like personally I have not accomplished what I wanted to accomplish.
Third of all, until you have worked in the business please don't get on here downgrading people because they are just a fan of good 'ol rasslin.
Just a thought. Hope this doesn't offend anyone.
Thanks.

I go for the entertainment and I Quote Frankie Valentine when he came out last night!" WELL THERE YA ARE"! Someone in the back must have been talking we were there! And when i don't go to SECW OR NAWA, ALOT OF WRESTLERS WANT TO KNOW WHERE WAS I AT? We looked for you, they always tell me after wards what i do that have a great time fussing! Come on including you , we all fuss with the HEELS! MY STROKES DID NOT DAMAGE ME THAT BAD! I know that Phoenix city has a MAJOR CAR RACING ON SATURDAY NIGHT! BEEN THERE DONE THAT!But Thursday night , there should have en be more people than that .Are you going to be at SECW tonight? I'd love to meet ya! I feel the same way JBL, When people sit there like they got constipation for a week and don't say anything how do you know they are enjoying their selves? I mean i go to enjoy myself ! I can sit here at home and just watch TV! I MEAN LIKE YOU SAID ON THE PHONE and i quote JBL, the wrestlers FEED OFF THIS FUSSING! JUST YELL BORING and watch them speed up and beat the crap out of each other! ,BEEN THERE DONE THAT, NOPE THE CROWD GETS YELLING THE SAME, WHEN THE SHOW GETS BORING! But thats NEVER happened at SECW! But last night it did, and i say i started it! Thats like yelling for so-so to go everybody starts yelling that too!

JBL,
You aren't going to make me mad with your opinion. Its your opinion, and therefore, should be respected. However, in response to what you said: "Some of the wrestlers want me to get on them. It helps them with the crowd." I believe that is close to what you said. Here is my response:
I understand that many of you on here hate wwe, but lets face it, they are the face of wrestling. Millions of people tune in each week. Do you see Lillian Garcia getting onto a wrestler to help him get over? Nope. Tony Chimmel? Nope. You don't see it. You know why? Because that's NOT the ring annoucer's job. The job of the ring annoucer is to annouce....get this.....THE WRESTLER. I mean, I would assume that if Garcia or Chimmel busted on a wrestler on the live microphone during an introduction, Vince may blow a gasket. I guess that's just the difference between the shows though. Their guys get the crowd behind them or against them bc they know how to do so rather than rely on a ring annoucer to do it for them.
Many others shows do not allow the ring annoucer to do such a thing either. TNA, ROH, NWA Anarchy, FIP, PWG, Dragon Gate, Noah, and the list could go on. In my opinion, it just makes the "indy" show when the annoucer is bantering with the wrestler, even more ridiculously indy than it already is.
Do you see the wrestlers with wwe bantering back and forth during the match or singling out one certain fan? Absolutely not. You think Chris Jericho sits around behind the scenes praying that "Buck-tooth Bob" shows up at the show that night? If done correctly, and the past and present in some areas does prove it, the wrestlers can get a crowd to love or hate them simply on their actions and gestures. Not a banter with a fan or fans along ringside during a match.
I would rate SECW highly because ive been to a show. But it's not the number one promotion in the state. Nwa Anarchy is. They produce tv nationally and internationally. They groom and produce wrestlers for the next level. I know wrestlingmomma, maybe scott, and others may disagree but its true. It doesn't mean secw isn't good, bc it is, its awesome, anarchy is just the top federation in georgia and 2nd maybe to fip in the south among indy's. If you want to question it then I will give you examples of why.
1) Aj Styles. Groomed there
2) Abyss-Groomed there
3) Ron Killings-Groomed there
4)The Hardy Boys-Groomed there
5) Shannon Moore-Groomed there
6) Bob Sapp-K1 fighter
7) Matt Sydal and Delirious both came in frequently to wildside/anarchy to learn. Both have admitted going to wildside helped them land contract jobs with wwe/roh respectively.
8)Ray Gordy-Groomed there.
9) Michael Judas-Groomed there and wrestled in puerto rico for a year or better
10)Phil Shatter-Groomed there and is nwa national champion which means he travels the country weekly and over seas occassionaly.
Those are just a few of the guys that have come through the doors at wildside/anarchy. You can't tell me that anarchy doesnt breed success up there. They take wrestlers and develop them. Just reasons, simple reasons why nwa anarchy is the top federation in georgia and a top in the south.

Storey83 Only Matt Hardy wrestled for Wildside when his and Jeff's Promotion OMEGA in North Carolina closed down but Shane Helms and shannon Moore did wrestle for them. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NWA_Wildside if you scroll down; it has a complete list of all those who trained/wrestled for Wildside/Anarchy

storey83 I agree that NWA is top notch and they do produce great talent. I tip my hat to Bill and Jerry for what they have done and how long they have been around. S.E.C.W. has never claimed to be #1, I'm just so thankful and blessed to have such great fans follow us where ever we put on a show. I also believe that we have some of the hardest working wrestlers anywhere around. It makes a difference when the company and all its workers really enjoy what they're doing. I believe everyone at S.E.C.W. enjoys what we do and that reflects on the fans. One thing is for sure, the economy has gotten alot better as far as ticket sales for us in the last 6 months, and the way i look at it is, the more tickets we sell, the more wrestlers I can keep busy working. I have only 2 things left to say and that is thank you workers for working so hard each week and thank you to the greatest fans around. Scott East

Scott,
You said it perfectly. I knwo we tend not to agree on here but to have a successful company, especially in wrestling, I'm guessing that you have to hard working wrestlers. You do have that and I for one do enjoy their hard work.
Phoenix Computers,
My bad, only Matt Hardy wrestled there...whoops. Even if Matt Hardy did not wrestle there, the names that were named are still a step ahead. I realize you were just wanting to correct me which is fine and thank you, but the talent listed speaks volumes.

I appreciate your honesty and your reply to my comments. I do need to clarify myself though. I don't try to get the crowd behind or against the wrestling and I don't confront them on the microphone in front of the crowd. I simply stand in the ring, announce their names, and get out. If the fans want to cheer for someone they do. If not, they don't. There have been times I start a chicken chant or something like that to Colt Derringer but I don't start arguing with the wrestlers in the middle of the ring on the microphone. On the other hand there are some of the wrestlers who take my hat off and put it on and stuff like that but it would be boring if I didn't react to things like that. I hope you see my point. Thanks again.

I am so blessed to work for such a great promotion like SECW. I appreciate the fan support and the support of the big boss Mr. Scott East! I could never thank Scott East enough for getting me into this business. Actually, Rob Adonis got me started by allowing me announce for UCW back a few years ago for high school benefit shows but Scott is the first one to bring me in and get me where I am today. There are some times I walk through the doors at the VFW and just take a deep breath and think to myself, "what a great place to be". Once again, thanks to everyone for your support!

By the way, to clear something up, I've been to GCW back in July when I was in Annual Training for the Guard. The promotion is country as hell like every promotion south of the Dixie, but it was a good atmosphere, A/C'd building (wish there was beer though), and the wrestlers were passionate and professional. I'd go again if I had the chance.
