Last night I was watching the OU-Florida game and near the end of thr 4th quarter I noticed the sound of whistles. Reminded me immediately of J.C. Dykes and the Infernos. Dykes would blow on his whistle to give directions to his masked men (Frankie Cain & Rocky Smith). It didn't take long for fans to show up with the kind of whistle, blowing them incessantly to confuse the boys! It was great!

Yeah Danny I do. Also, one inferno wore small white patch on his tights ( was that forced to happen, maybe part of an angle?), and sometimes one wore pantie hose under his mask.
I remember a specific incident at the GRIFFIN SPORTS PALACE, Jay West getting on the mike announcing that anyone who bought whistles from J.C. need to return them as he did not have a business license to sell such.
Amazing the things we remember huh?

Tim, I don't remember a white patch and I didn't know about the pantyhose but I do remember the loaded boot and i think it was Frankie Cain who always had a piece of tape over a tatoo on his arm.
