He didn't debut until 1984 in Texas, and it wasn't long after that he became the Undertaker character. Of the ring names I have known him to use, Diesel is not one of them. The only Diesel I recall was Kevin Nash, but that wouldn't date back to the 1970s.
Does your dad recall what territory he would have seen this person in?

I pulled a few things off of kevin Nash`s Bio. Didn`t see anywhere on there where he teamed up with Scott Hall untill Kevin Nash came back to WCW as the other half of The Outsiders in 1996-1998
Kevin Nash started his Wrestling Career in WCW. He entered the Power Plantand was trained by Dusty Rhodes. When he finally made it on TV, he had a few less-than-flattering gimmicks. He debuted in 1990 as Steel and was one half of the Tag Team the "Master Blasters". When this persona failed, they repackaged Nash as "Oz". Managed by "The Wizard", he wore green tights and a rubber mask, and his hair was shaped as a silver mohawk. This gimmick also failed. Nash was repackaged a 3rd time, this time playing Vinnie Vegas. He was managed by Diamond Dallas Page, and was a gambler of sorts. He would make deals, etc. After awhile of being a jobber and having horrible gimmicks, he decided to head North to the WWF and try his chances there. In the WWF, his first and only gimmick (which was very successful) was that of Diesel, a bad ass truck driver. He was introduced as Shawn Michaels' bodyguard, and one of his first accomplishments was helping the Heart Break Kid gain the Intercontinental Championship.

Asking if Undertaker and Diesel were ever the same person, is the equivalent ...to if i were to ask you.."So were Ted Allen and Terry Allen the same person?"

Kevin Nash & Scott Hall wrestled as a team called the Vegas Connection in WCW around 1992 I think. Nash was Vinnie Vegas & Hall was the Diamond Studd. They were managed by Diamond Dallas Page. Undertaker was Mean Mark Callous in WCW from 1989- 1990. He was a part of the Skyscrapers with Dan Spivey & managed by Teddy Long.

Hall was already Razor Ramon in the WWF when they started that team.
