The Exotic Ones & Big Bank Barfield vs. The Usual Suspects & Dr. Johnny Gayton
For months, Dr. Johnny Gayton has attempted to get his hands on Big Bank Barfield. Whether it was through brutal attacks or paying off other RPW stars to get in the way, Dr. Gayton has never been able to give Barfield just what he's deserved. Dr. Gayton survived a brutal attack back in June by the Exotic Ones, commandeered by Barfield. Dr. Gayton spent months recovering from a serious neck injury and broken fingers (thanks to pliers) to come back. Despite not being able to get to Barfield, he was able to send a message by breaking the wrist of Simon Sermon, an injury he still deals with. Dr. Gayton has found a common bond with the Usual Suspects, who are also gunning for the Exotic Ones. While it has been made clear by both parties that they are not best friends, the Suspects & Dr. Gayton have put their issues aside to bring down their targets. Can Dr. Gayton finally get Barfield this Saturday night?
Chip Day vs. Kyle Matthews
On September 4, Jimmy Rave turned on the man he had supposedly been guiding for the last 4 months, costing Kyle Matthews the RPW Heavyweight Title. As crazy as that scene was, some would say it wasn't altogether shocking. Rave had been showing signs recently of disassociation with some questionable tactics in the ring. The truly shocking part is what came later in the evening. As Matthews prepared to compete against friend Chip Day, Rave emerged from the back. Chip and the referee immediately restrained a furious Matthews. Rave attempted to apologize to Kyle before informing him ominously, “You've been replaced.” With that, Chip shockingly blasted Kyle in the back of the head. Rave shoved the referee out of the ring while the two double-teamed Matthews. It was a sad sight to see Chip, a long-time fan favorite in RPW, shift his allegiance to someone like Rave. Matthews will have his chance at revenge on Saturday night, as a match has been signed pitting the two.
In addition to these matches, all three championships will be on the line! Shaun Banks will defend the RPW Heavyweight Title, J-Rod will defend the RPW Television Title, and, despite already being signed for one match in the evening, Commissioner Sal Rinauro is showing no mercy for the Exotic Ones, as they will be defending the RPW Tag Team Titles against The Rhymer Twins!
