Bill Eadie’s career began in 1973, when he replaced Bepo Mongol as Geto Mongol’s partner on a trip to Japan. Afterward, he continued the role until a run in the Mid-Atlantic territory came to an end in 1976, and he assumed the Masked Superstar gimmick.
It was in that role that Eadie became a major international star, as the thinking man’s heel. Along with the innovative finishing cobra hold, the Superstar was seen as one of the most dominant heels in the business. He spent many years working in Georgia, the Carolinas, Canada, the World Wrestling Federation, and Japan before the gimmick came to an end.
In what began as a joke, he became the Super machine in Japan, which carried over to a run with the WWF, but it was the Demolition tag team that once again put him at the top of the business. Seen by many as a ripoff of the Road Warriors, Demolition were better in the ring, and were the dominant force for Vince McMahon for several years.
When his career slowed down to part time work in the 1990s, Eadie returned to teaching, and still works with troubled youths today. However, he still manages to don the tights and the mask or the makeup from time to time all over the country.
Please join me in welcoming him to the board.

It was a combination between George Scott and believe it or not my wifes grandmother . She drew up the inmage and was also the person that made most of my original outfits. She continued to make the masks, capes, jackets, etc. until she died at age 91
AS for TN[A THEY MISSED THE BOAT SOME TIME BACK. I WOULD SCRAP THE LOT AND START FRESH. MOST OF WHAT THEY DO NOW IS COPY CAT FROM wwe JUST A FEW WEEKS LATER.
GIMMICK RING DIDN'T WORK OUT, NOT ENOUGH EMPAHSIS ON WRESTLIN G FROM EITHER GROUP. I WOULD SIT DOWN AT DRAWING BORAD AND START FRESH. WHEN WE RAN GLOBAL IT WAS NEW IDEAS, NEW FACES FOR MOST PART, TOOK FEW MONTHS BUT WAS CHANGE FROM WHAT THEY HAD SEEN. MOST OF TALENT FOR TNA HAS RUN THEIR COURSE AND BEEN USED UP ALREADY AND WHAT MORE CAN YOU SEE THEM DO.HOW MANY MORE MATCHES AGAINST THE SAME TALENT CAN YOU EXPECT THE FANS TO PUT UP WITH. SAME FOR WWE FOR THAT MATTER.TOO MUCH TALKING(BY NOT SO GOOD TALKERS) AND NOT ENOUGH WRESTLING (FROM NOT SO GOOD WRESTLERS) TOO MUCH COOKIE CUTTER LOOK, CAN'T DISTINGUISH FROM ONE TO ANOTHER .TOO MANY FEMALES NOTHING SPECIAL TO WAIT TO SEE. LOT'S OF THINGS BUT FOR BOTH SIDES.
I AM TOLD BY MANY THAT THEY MUST BE DOING WELL BECAUSE OF THE REVENUE THEY GENERATE. WHEN YOU LOOK BACK IN YEARS THERE WERE THE SAME NUMBER OF FANS IN THE BUILDINGS BUT PRICE PER SEAT WAS VERY AFFORDABLE( $5 AND $ 10 TICKETS) ISN'T EASY TYO SAY YOUR DOING MUCH MORE MONEY WHEN A SEAT IS $50, $60 OR MORE PLUS. SO ARE THEY DOING THAT MUCH BETTER OR ARE THE TICKETS GIVING FALSE FEEDBACK.
JUST MY LOOK AT IT.

I just today found a couple of old programs from Columbus, and the one for July 7, 1982 listed matches for Superstar vs. Bob Armstrong. Rich's results section shows a replacement for Bob Armstrong.
The main event was Mr. Wrestling #2 against Ric Flair for the NWA World title, although all the matches were of main event caliber.
Those were great cards, and we will probably never see the like again.

Some of my best times in the business were here in Ga. Home every night, short trips and great opponents to wrestle. Too bad things had to change. Other great times were my trips to Japan. My wife fell in love with Ga. and we never planned to make another move and we are both happy about that decision.

Mr. Eadie:
I grew up watching you wrestle along with my dad for years in the 70s and 80s. You were definitely our favorite. I often commented to my dad that you guys were built very much alike. Well when I joined this group I saw that your last name is Eadie, which is our last name, but spelled slightly differently! I wonder if we are related somewhere down the line. My dad and his family were from Georgia and the Carolina's. If you wanted to discuss but don't want to do it here, feel free to contact me at jbtall1961@yahoo.com. Thank you, JB

THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS AND SUPPORT.
