This had to be in the mid 70's. I recall Lipton's noodle soup, to give mom an easy dinner, and sneaking back into the den to watch Gordon & Florida wrestling. I want to say channel 17, and at midnight. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Sure seems like Sunday night. I used to take a Radio Shack tape recorder down, and put it in front of the TV. Anyone>? OLD! ;D

Me, too! Only it was Saturday afternoons, with Harry Thornton; out of Chattanooga, in the late 60's. I, too, made many a tape of the shows, especially the interviews; but eventually taped over them. Cassette tapes were just then catching on, long before affordable VCR's.
You're fortunate, though, that there's a good deal of Florida footage available on DVD. There's practically nothing available from the era that I grew up in.

I've got you both beat! I, too, used to tape "Live Atlanta Wrestling" with Ed Capral on Saturday nights because my Dad worked at the old Atlanta post office and I would play it for him during breakfast on Sunday morning. Cassette tapes had not been invented. I used a little portable reel-to-reel tape recorder, hanging the microphone on the knob of the TV!
