A rumor began today on the Internet that Johnny Walker (a/k/a Mr. Wrestling #2) died. However, I called him shortly after hearing of the news and he laughed it off, claiming it was the “third time I’ve died”. The story spawned from a misunderstanding following Walker’s cancellation of his appearance at August’s NWA Legends event, as he will instead be attending a wedding involving one of his sons that weekend that was just announced.
Walker, who had to miss a recent appearance on Peach State Pandemonium for personal reasons, will be on the show May 6. “I feel pretty good for a guy who has died three times,” said Walker, adding, “I look forward to talking to my fans Wednesday night”.
